Something I've been thinking about for a next level rec climbing activity is to start climbing at sunrise and see how far you can traverse horizontally tree-to-tree through the woods in one day. Rules are as follows: everything technique-wise is more or less fair game except no assists from the ground, climb as high or as low as needed, feet can't touch the ground. I'm thinking this can be done different ways: solo or as a team of two or three.

How about, do a little spelunking? (technically treelunking)
This tree top hollow starts at 34 ft above the ground. It is large enough to facilitate a rappel down inside the tree all the way to the soil below.
Obviously everyone doesn't have access to a tree this unique, but it is an experience that my favorite rec. climb tree offers me.
