West Coast Get Together

The Ropetec Wraptor looks like a handy tool but having a two stroke engine screaming in your face the whole way up has got to be a bummer! It would be much nicer for the rider to leave the RW on the ground and place a block in the tree.

True that, TreeCo. But no less noise than running a chainsaw while limbing a tree on the way up, so ear plugs are a must. And running up a static line is more simple rigging.

I have used a capstan winch for hauling climbers up. Chain saw model, but it takes at least two redirects and twice as much rope to manage. It works both ways. Take your choice.
