For me, this was a tree weekend with a lot of fun mixed in. Three long days and two short nights because Nevic came up from Austin and we had a CTW training. The setup of Friday worked out great! Crazy Jimmy setup the WC and I got the ropes set for AR. After dinner Nevic, my brother Jim and I headed to my place.

We got the chairs out and had a nice fire in the backyard. The full moon made a nice chrome glow through the trees. At about 11 we decided to get to bed. Stoked up the woodstove and bedded down. Sat. was windy and chilly. So, Nevic and I decided to just have an indoor fire. Still nice!

FA/CPR yesterday at the Fort Worth Nature Center. There was a prairie dog in a cage in the room where we did the trainin. every time a person would cough we set off the 'dog alarm and she would let out a chirp!

When I started my drive home from the nature center I was treated to one of the most wonderful moonrises in my life! It reminds me of a Halloween moonrise when I was in 6-7th grade. Big ol' orange ball hanging on the horizon with no clouds!

This was another 'family' gathering that was sooo much fun!

I have had a small leak under my kitchen sink for as long as I can remember. This weekend I decided enough was enough.
Armed with a can of plumbers putty and a roll of threadtape, I proceeded to dismatle the trap assembly of my drain.
2 hours later, the drain pipes are in peices, water lines are removed, sink has been torn out, and the formica counter top is now in peices on my back porch.
To be continued...

Hmmm , sounds kind of worky to me but more power to you.
I, however, did something that could not remotely be construed as work- except for the lungs.
Did a ski tour up on Red Mountain. As usual no action shots- it's to damn cold to take my gloves off!
My ski partner is Luke, my physical therapist that has been putting me back together for years.

Jesse...my first house was built as a garage in the late 40's...and not improved. When I bought it in late 70's I started to fix things...until I had projects like yours :)

I call them 'Lead-To Projects' and they can be fun!

Take pictures so we can see how much fun you're having :)

Loolking towards Telluride. Only about 7 miles as the crow flies but over an hour drive from Red.

Hey,

This weekend was fun. Totally spur-of-the-moment, I met Tom and Nevic and then helped at the CTW. Its tough to be just slightly under-dressed for the weather. Should have climbed a tree. That meant supper was not only a generous teppanyaki order, but a dinner-sized sushi roll.

The BuzzMobile Mk I has 242,000 miles on it. Put in a little radiator stop leak before the commute from Ft. Worth back to Dallas. Don't know if it was that or the wasabi I ate the night before, but everything's better now.

Found a great site with blues and jazz piano lessons and fiddled with it for several hours. Most of the stuff I've run across is like those easy learn-to-draw instructions, where the first step is to draw three circles, second panel to add ears legs and tail and the third and final panel looks like the cover of an url=http://imagestore.qoop.com/media/11/45/50/554/sq_5853.jpg]O'Reilly technical manual[/url]. Now for the essential practice, practice, practice.

Things I learned:
Home Depot is hard to find just using google maps on my cell phone. Asked my boss for one of those Smartphones this week.

One roll of flagging tape is just barely enough to pen off an event. Better make it two per next time.

Not so much of an accomplishment as an incident.

Yesterday, at approximately 8:30 am. I hit a cat on my electric bicycle going about 22 miles per hour.
The little guy came out of nowhere and I had no time to react. I barely got out an, "oh fu..." when, BAM!
Out of the corner of my eye I saw the black figure run away as I headed towards the pavement. I hit the ground, hands first. How my wrists didn't break I will never know. I also am curious as to how I did this without loosing one drop of blood. The Fall Climb Shirt I received from EZ was undamaged as well. Seems that my foot/heal took the whole "load". I hope its not broken. It sure hurts like hell and I cant put any weight on it.
Now I plan to wear a helmet when I ride.

Haha, thats funny, good thing your OK woulda been embarressing.

I full blown ran over a rabbit on my Tomos moped. That was a good laugh.

Embarrassing? Yes! It happened right in front of my neighbor. I tried to pull a PeeWee Herman , got right up and said "I meant to do that.". I think he was too horrified to see any humor in that.

I now wear a helmet
