washing/drying SIP chainsaw pants

I recently got a pair of SIP chainsaw pants with the Kevlar pads on the knees/ankles. My wife tends to wash things every time I look at them, and I'm having a tough time finding care information for these pants. I'd rather not ruin them as they're kinda pricey. Anybody have experience good/bad with washing/drying these? Thanks,

-Tom

I wash mine once a week on 40 degrees C and just hang em up to dry. No problems at all.

They take a lot of abuse, but they are made of "plastic" so a hot muffler will melt a hole :-)

Yep, I wash mine all the time and hang to dry. I've never put them in the dryer and probably wouldn't recommend it.

SIP instructions (if you decipher the code on the label) say:
Gentle machine wash up to 60F
No chlorine or bleach
No fabric softeners
Do not tumble dry
Do not dry clean
Do not iron
Drip dry

Close zipper & press studs before washing
Turning garment inside out is recommended

Tom, like Scotty and others have said, that's the way that I do it too.

Four years and mine are going strong as well.
