Warren Wilson Climbing Competition

Dear Mr. Wagner,

I have not yet received my personalized golden encrusted and engraved invitation to the competition that is being held on the 10th like we talked about the last time we saw each other, instead I received notice of said event by way of a flier that was printed out and circulated via the "notice" door that is the entrance to the crew room that we meet in almost daily, so I have seen it, but am waiting for a special invitation from you, the CEO and fiscal representative of the college, to defend my one of a kind clay bowl that your friend cast for the winner last year (which was me), and I will come to defend my bowl if....my boss Pat will let us stay at his mountain cabin in the bee tree neighborhood, but even if he says no, I'll probably go anyway, camp or something, and hope that bears don't eat me, and my family, which would be bad, I would rather lose the event that day, any day actually, if my family's fate hangs in the balance.

If said invitation is not in the mail, due to the economy, then just let me know, or whatever. It's hard times everywhere, and prices of gold are skyrocketing, but copper is down, go figure?

The Owen Wilson tree climbing competition is one that is steeped with tradition. Clay bowls, slings, ropes, belts, T-shirts, growler's of pale ale, and much more await the champion.
Every time I go there I somehow come out on top. Theres just something about that mountain air that makes me want to win.
Thats why I, Simon Zimmerman, will be there at The Luke Wilson college on Oct. 10th to defend my clay bowl. I mean, I won last time... might as well do it again and get one more clay bowl.
 
Exactly he's not even a good actor. Maybe in Bottle Rockets with his brother, Luke Wilson. That's why I dont get it... why would he start his own university college?

Lies do not come out of Simon's mouth. And yes, out of staters can compete in the masters. You just have to beat Simon is all.

I thought Warren Wilson was pretty good in Shanghai Nights with Jackie Chan too.

Is Jackie coming? Cuz he probably wouldn't even use a rope.

I mean EVEN I, can get into the masters and I am a girl that is from New Jersey now living in Georiga and going to VISIT Owen Luke Warren, Three brothers Wilson College event.

Yeah, this is an open to everyone event. I mean... it is Warren Wilson and all. You'll have to come to figure out why that matters....

We're looking into tree camping for people if that is desired this year. Let me know if you'd like to tree camp.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again, and I'm hoping to get more things happening for this event. It'll definitely be a great time, and if Pisgah is allowed to sent up a vending booth, it'll be a little more fun for the spectators too!
 
Oh Yeah, the college raises it's own beef, so for those who want breakfast, I believe it's 3.75 now for all you can eat breakfast and grass fed sausage.

A bunch of people did last year, but it was kind of on the fly. This year, we have a really nice post oak and a white oak to camp in. The trees are nearby the Landscaping crew's office, so bathroom is basically just below the trees, etc... It's all clear for go, so I hope a bunch of people want to camp.

There is also space below the trees for those who lack the resources.

The Competition is held at Warren Wilson College, on;

701 Warren Wilson Rd. Swannanoa, NC 28778.

The fire department has been notified, so I don't think you have to worry about them (that's my job).

Set up for those who are helping and judging is Friday, Oct 9th. I will be finishing up pruning and preping on Thurs. Oct. 8th as well, so anyone who wants to come early will be rewarded with frosty beverages and a place to stay. Otherwise, Friday morning after 6-ish is fine.

Thanks for asking Greg! It was great meeting you as well. Though, I know it wasn't the first time.
