WANTED rope wrench or hitch hiker

Looking to POSSIBLY but one if these 2. Keep hearing how great single rope work is in the tree, thought I'd give it a go,but if it's not for me I won't be out as much. Guessing I'll need a foot ascended as well.

Thanks Merle, I just have too much gear (actually, never enough), but if I'm able to help out a fellow Arborist, I try my best. If someone wants to try it out before purchasing, then that's the least I can do for our fellowship! I wish we had more members that were willing to do the same. Since I've got a brand new one, I don't mind sharing, if it helps a member make an educated decision! [emoji41]
 
I've sent a message to Dave. It's a great offer. I'm greatfull for Magnum'so offer as well. Guess I'll need to find a starter foot ascender, maybe I'll buy a pair of those $20 Chinese ones on ebay. Lol

Don't waste your money. If you end up damaging your rope it'll cost you a whole lot more than just getting a ct in the first place.
 
Quick question, which side foot ascender do you have? Depending on which foot, I'll send you a hand ascender and foot loop to get you balanced out!

Well, after going through several gear bags, I came across a new pantin foot ascender and a hand ascender with a foot loop to add to the HH2 w/Holster, so Raven will be all setup for quite a while! I probably should have thrown a HUT in as well, but I didn't want to get carried away. He's gonna have to find his own personal preference for ascension! I can't just give away everything, now! Can I? Over 1/2 of the gear was given to me in previous purchases! That's my Karma for the year! [emoji269][emoji888][emoji268][emoji267] Climb Safe, Brothers and Sisters!
 
Man, I just got Dave's messages on all the gear. I can't say thanks enough. I had a lot of this gear when I was doing tree work more steadily. I served in Baghdad, part of the surge in '07. Anyways after a few years of doing trees, I started having issues with PTSD my mindset was F everything, do I quit, eventually sold all my stuff because I needed the money for my family. Fast forward to 4 months ago and my old ground guy tales me into doing 2 oak trees for him with my old crappy gear I still had, it sucked and u
I was way out of shape, but it felt good and I missed it, it's like therapy. I'm now back where I used to be mentally, super pumped about doing the work again. Now just getting all set up again. I have no chipper ( but I get a great deal on a rental for now), nothing to chip into except my pickup with sides built up, and a terrible basic saddle that really sucks. Lol. I'm studying the Arborist Certification Guide ( holy crap), and watch everything I can. I have traded dome work for gear, ropes, block, Porta wrap, etc.... I have the basics. I didn't want to bring my situation up and then ask for help, Veteran's are a proud ,stubborn bunch. But hell, if there are fellow workers and arborist willing to help
... thanks. Not looking for sympathy, I volunteered for Baghdad, just got more than I bargained for. Lol
 
Meh, too big for you then. Wish I could help you out. Glad you are getting back to yourself. Thank you for your service. If you find yourself slipping, don't be macho, get help. Love your wife and kids like there is no tomorrow. All the best to you.
