Hey All,
As the camp arborist for our local Boy Scout Council I've been approached to see if I could locate some 3/4 inch synthetic braided rope for a game called "Rigging Rat."
Rigging Rat is essentially a tug of war game with a twist. It is a two man game with each player standing on a balance platform (essentially a flat piece of plywood on top of a half basketball sized dome) and the tug of war is one handed. The idea is to stay on one's platform while trying to upset the other player's balance.
it is an old mariner's game that helped teach the riggers how to keep thier balance aloft while dealing with yanking and whipping rigging lines. Pretty neat idea if I say so myself.
Anyhoo, what I need is at least one, but preferably several, 25 foot lenghts of the 3/4 rope.
If you have any such rope ready to retire and would be willing to donate or sell at a good rate please let me know.
We've looked at new ropes but that is well outside the budget for this which, unless I can raise some dinero, is pretty much zero except what comes out of my pocket.
