Volcano--cam in Hawaii

It depends. Sometimes you can see pools of lava and occasionally fountains if you're lucky. The volcano is in a state of flux at the moment and things have been changing on a day to day basis. When I was out there last December I hiked right up to active lava flows and skylights. It was an incredible rush.

i saw this up close when i was working in kona, very impressive to see it as the lava meets the sea! i stayed out all night on the lava field, a hell of a trek over the lava and through the fumes but well worth it.
have some good photos from my slr if i can figure out how to post them.
