Violence, gun culture, what can be/should be done.

I don't ever point the muzzle of a gun, even if I know it's not loaded at someone just as a matter of personal conduct.

I can't imagine using one in self defence, but not because I wouldn't but more because I'm never thinking I'm about to be attacked, and I would never have a chance to retrieve the gun, load it and get busy before the outcome is already decided. (Yes, there is a very nice Czech 9mm handgun in my closet). I don't want to live such a paranoid life that i would have a loaded handgun on me at all times, thinking that I might need to whip it out at any moment. Just not going to live like that. so, an angry American with a gun is always going to get the drop me me, even though I'm an OK shot myself.

...but I can't imagine stomping anyone to death either, except in short-lived revenge fantasies.

Good.

I can't imagine killing or wanting to kill someone either.

If you think about it for real, in short-lived revenge fantasies, you probably only picture beating someone a bit.

The very few people that ever did me real wrong; on purpose, I never thought about killing them. I just thought about beating them and making their life misserable.

It's a heavy burden to bear, no matter how justified.

I was not astonished at all to learn that in typical American corporatist fashion, the American Psychiatric Assoc. has given the green light to prescribe SSRI medications to their legions of psychiatrists, to "help" their grief stricken patients whose loved one just passed away for whatever reason.

Millions more new Antipsychotic medication junkies to go postal when that 3 percent side affect factor kicks into overdrive.

Feeding a fire with gasoline is only safe for folks who live behind the security gates of their guarded estates. The rest of us have to resort to the trusty ole duck n cover.

Feeling sad and depressed?

Wellbutrin has very few side affects, and is tolerated well by most folks yu know?

What is wrong with this picture.
Man shoots 4 Volunteer Firefighters in Webster NY Killing 2 when they responded to his house that he set on fire. This same guy spent 17 years in prison for killing his grandmother with... A HAMMER. How did this guy get guns, why was he let out? 4 families in NY are asking the same thing. Gun control isnt the answer, cause bad guys (in this case) can still get them. If Im getting off a fire truck and getting shot at I want the ability to shoot back.

More of our culture's desire to not have to go through any emotions other than those that please us or at least in a controlled way. They'd rather medicate to deal than the longer process of grieving. It's the market not the companies that are in the driver's seat. Business is opportunistic, amorally.

Truly sad in many ways. Why take a walk or do any exercise? "I feel different", okay take a pill. We are all over medicated to some extent.

While the Canadians generally have no better an understanding of the US it still is clear the difference in attitudes and behaviours.

Interesting numbers. Firearm homicides in Canada in 2010, 170

California having a population close in size-38 million for comparison in 2010, 1,257

Total in the US for 2010 12996 of which 67.5% where by firearms.

Now to have look at the numbers in a more comparible way read this,

Without so many firearms available Canadians get brutal.

hey you all, what do you think of Alex Jones Piers Morgan Part 1 and also there is part 2 on YouTube?

Alex would be taken less as a freak IF he calmed down a little, he had some good points, but maybe he had to be that way to run the show and shut Piers up.
