Re: Video Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Treatment
Ya, the oils have been GREAT. This particular client is the one and only that specifically asked for safari after doing her own internet research. My rig would have trouble oil spraying a tree that size anyway. I do use a lot of safari and some imidacloprid for hemlocks and I feel keeping the trees alive is a lesser evil, but I also use the oils for all smaller trees and all hedges.
I am going to start doing more safari trunk sprays this coming season (on the tree, not in the soil)
The 1st hemlock I ever treated before I had my spray rig, I made the mistake of imidacloprid soil injection 2 years in a row. It is hideously pale from spider mites, whoops. I have since tried to get that customer to let me start oil spraying because it is small enough to spray. Live & learn.
