Vermeer chipper overheats

I have a Vermeer BC 1250 chipper that runs for about 15 minutes, then overheats and shuts down.
Can someone point me in the right direction to fix this?
I am currently waiting for a repair manual to show up.

First things I would check out

I’ll second what @VenasNursery said above, those are all the common issues. If everything there is good, the head gasket may be blown. That can also cause an overheating problem.

First things I would check out

That pretty much covers everything. When I was having similar issues with my bc935 I had a couple things going on. The thermostat was sticking partially open and the coolant had also gone off. When he says check fluid test the fluid in addition to checking the fluid level. A coolant tester is only a couple bucks at most auto parts supply centers.

I’ll add pressure washing a cold radiator to this list. You will be amazed how much BS comes out.

Diesel or gas? How many hours?
I had a bc1400 that had similar issues but it was an air leak in the fuel system.
