I second that, a bandit 65 or 75 XL are great as is a Carleton 1260. I’ve had/owned both and a Vermeer 625, there’s no comparison. The 600 and 625’s, 700 &900 are excruciatingly painful to operate and non efficient chippers.Do yourself a favor, buy something else. I had one starting out. Wasted tons of time and effort with that chipper. A 9" is at least twice more productive if not more.
As others have said don't do it. I have rented this chipper twice and have jammed a crotch union in the throat twice causing a few hours down time. Unless you are chipping 4" or less dead straight branches don't do it. Chipping 2x4 lumber is about the only acceptable application for this chipper.Looking to buy a vermeer bc 600xl wondering if anyone has experience or tips hour gauge broken apparently has around 250 hours is 2007 asking 8750.00
