Gotta find a good buzzy to do.

Gag, /forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Need a wood stove. There's a guy at work that has not turned on his heat yet because he has a wood stove.

That may be my next move.

Jabber, I'm assuming a honey is a grand?

When gas gets over a certain price, (here in Alberta) the government rebates kick in and we save, plus I heat with wood. My gas bill would be even lower if we didn't have a gas dryerand small kids with daily washes going. My power bill is on top of that but it is usually under 100/month too, and that's with running a large hot tub in -30C temps in the winter.

Later this month we get our prosperity cheques out here in Alberta. $400.00 for ever man, woman, and child...........we will get $1600.00 (tax free) for my household, gotta love high gas and oil prices!

This year I was setting aside money for a wood stove. Unfortunately, I had to use the money to repair a septic problem.

Anyway, next year I will buy a wood stove and burn for free. The county I live in has no restrictions. The funny thing is I live on a county road. My side of the road is Weld County and the other side is Boulder County. Literally, a stone throw away.

Being in the tree business I can select the best wood for myself and burn any time I want. /forum/images/graemlins/avid.gif

electric baseboard heat here. our last electric bill for oct 21 to dec 20, $106.89
electric cost is .06 per kilowatt
no gas bill

and Rborist is the only one that calls it a "honey", thats not Canadian, its just him.

Hot Tub? Its good to be in Alberta I guess. With the government rebate cheques(sp?), they almost pay you to live there! $1600 a month when the gas price reaches what? What's the threshold? Where does that money come from? Your taxes? Then, its a wash no?

I'm just full of questions tonight, sorry

-30C... that's insane.

1.I bartered the hot tub for a tree job.

2.1st time for the prosperity cheque's here (one time thing, maybe annual, don't know yet). Money comes from the surplus, we are out of debt as a province, billions and billions in the surplus and the provincial gov is giving back to the residents.

3.Rebates for gas kick in after gas goes over $5.50/gigajoulle. Average household will save $170.00 for Jan/gas bill.

4.-20C to -30C in Jan is average temp here, no snow this year and +5C here today. What's up with this crazy weather?

5.Alberta has more oil then Saudie Arabia, there is alot of prosperity here right now with oil being over $60US/barrel. Nobody can find staff because of the oil boom. People are moving here from all over. My house value has gone up 25% in the last year.

Anymore questions? Need a job? No tie required here! No pixies running in the bushes either........ /forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

That's killer.

Nothing wrong with a tie, it shows you care about your image.

I think I just saw a pixie invader!!!....gotta go get rid of the thing.

I bet those pixies have gotten into your home and are responsible for your high gas bills, best call in an exterminator. If you don't get rid of them they will bring in their friends.............fairys. You don't want a bunch of fairys in your new house.
