Used ms200t

Location
Ontario
Hello everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I hope all enjoyed their holidays. Hopefully this is the place to post this question if not please steer me in the right direction.
My question, I have a chance to purchase a used ms200t for 350 cdn (approx. 285 us) from a local guy. He has told me the saw is about 10 years old and from what I understand it was used during the weekends (we was a bit of a weekend warrior). He has told me that the piston has no scoring and the saw still runs strong. He also mentioned it might need a bit of a tuneup as its bogging a bit.
First, is this saw worth buying. Should I be concerned with its age?
If you guys think its worth the effort what should I be looking for when I go have a look at it? I’m a chainsaw buying newb.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys/gals.

The age wouldn't concern me at all, it's the condition that counts. The older 200's had an issue with the carburetors that even a carb kit doesn't fix, which could be the problem he's having. However, there's a very easy fix that works 99% of the time. Look up 200t accelerator pump fix or check on arborist site . Com. If you buy it and need the info on the carb and can't find it, just hit me up and I'll walk you through it.
If the condition is good, it's a good price. Check out the handle good because they're not cheap. Good luck with the saw and let me know if you need any help.

Could be something as simple as the muffler screen needs to be pulled and cleaned out. Good price jump on it offer him $300!

Hey guys, I appreciate all the information. I ended up buying the saw for $300. I checked it over and thought it was in good shape. Fired it up and made some cuts. Sounded strong, excellent trigger response.
Now that I have the saw any advice on keeping it running strong?

Thanks
