Unicender - latest version

I just bought a new Unicender. One nice change is it no longer comes with a slot in the bottom for attaching to. It now comes with a 5/8th hole in the bottom, but above it is a partially milled slot in the remaining portion of the bottom bracket.

Here is the new Unicender where I drilled out a second hole above the first one. This is a nice feature to have and gives you a second tie-in point at the bottom. One for my ascender to clip to and another for a girth-hitched foot sling.

Very nice!
It will keep things from moving around there too. Other than to reduce weight, I never saw a good reason for that slot.
One will still be able to girth hitch to one side assisting in the transitions from ascent to descent. In fact one could use a single line with a stopper knot on one side and do the same thing making for a very clean adjustable tether.

Thanks for the photo.
