Unicender lanyard

Got an Unicender for Christmas and am exploring methods of attaching to my saddle.

Just wondering how many of you folks are going with direct connect to the saddle versus using a lanyard and whether you set it up to be adjustable/extendable and what not.

Directly connected to the bridge with a carabiner.
And only SRT climbing with it, for DRT it's much better climbing with rope

I use a Petzl GriGri. But, I might switch to something like Tom Dulap's set up.

Jamin, I think he is asking how folks are connecting the uni to their saddle, re with a tether (lanyard) or not. I think.

Congratulations, Rick! The Uni works great in either position. Try both and see which suits your climbing style. I personally prefer it on a fixed tether and clip it close when needed.

I quess everybody is different. I feel it works better with no lanyard. I use mine as an upper asender in srt.In Ddrt i just pull the rope above the uni and it self feeds thru with the weight of the rope. It works best with a friction saver and a small biner clipped below it to fair lead the rope. The "L" at the bottom does not capture the rope well.

For limb walks or big trees I prefer using a vt on an eye/eye prussic cord. Sometime the uni does not give slack as quickly as i would like it. I clime on lava 11.7

I've been up for a while... I can't figure it out either.

ok the screw link goes to the suspender/rear belay anchor, red and white cord go over the right shoulder the red is 8mm accesory cord the white is a .25 bungie cord. the small silver non locking beaner holds the uni up while the dmm oval attached to saddle bridge. The small beaner on the bungie attaches to left knee ascender (petzl basic with a foot loop) and a pantin on right foot. Similar to Gerry B's rope walker Ddrt but for srt. Zevr showed me his set up and I made it permanent on my saddle.

Ya, as fooled as those guys were that's what I thought was going there, kinda. What's knee ascender?

Its an ascender on a short foot strap that brings it up to about knee height so it won't interfere with foot ascender on the right foot while using a rope walking system
