I am looking to process about 4k of wood chips and logs at my shop into mulch. What company do you recommend in the Mass, RI area? thanks,jim

If it's Jim he probably has 4,000 yards and will need a large machine.

Try contacting Cape Sand and Recycling in Brewster. I am not sure if they will move to you but it is worth the call and they have a couple big grinders.

3 thousand yards of wood chips
1 thousand yards of pine and big hardwood in log length
I want it all ground into landscape mulch at my shop. I have the room and the loader. My yard is in Falmouth, MA. thanks for the help, jim ( I will give you the big hardwood if you want it, dbh 4' plus)

What is the going rate per yard or hr for tub grinding in your area? We have a grinding contractor starting in the morning on our brush and chunk piles at our shop.There is about 8000 cubic yards to do.

I'd like to know this as well. How many cu yards can a grinder plow through in an 8 hour shift?

The guy grinding our brush and chunks is about half way finished with the estimated 8000 cubic yards.He is at 15 hours,and is using a morbark 1200xl tub ,with a 1000 hp engine.And feeding it with a 250 series trackhoe with a fixed grapple.Oh and he is a true 1 man operation.Very impressive.
