Anybody watching the HBO series, True Detective?

Awesome show! Takes place mostly in coastal Louisiana. Lots of nice live oaks.

not as cool a show, but have you seen the trees in front of downton abbey?

Yeah, my wife is addicted to Downton Abbey. Very nice trees.

McConaughey and Harrelson play some pretty cool characters in true detective. Great acting, writing and the scenery is creepy. Mcconaughey is phenomenal in his role. The last thing I needed was another show to watch but I'm hooked

Great show. I don't usually watch serial shows but, this one was so well written and acted that it just drew me in. It didn't have all the ridiculous plot twists and insane story lines that make it hard to pick up the show.

It's too bad there won't be a second season.

Ahhh, I stand corrected. I was basing it on McConnaughey's comment that he wasn't going to be doing another season and that it was like a movie delivered in parts.

It will show how good the writing is if it can stand up with other actors.

No doubt, I was thinking the same thing. Gonna miss McConnaughey's character though.
