Treestuff Spending

It's hard. So often the things we need aren't particularly exciting to us, but are expensive. The things we are excited about but we don't particularly need, are expensive too. If you can't buy it all, guess which spending gets cut. I have an amazing wife who understands that I need the things that are exciting to me. We don't have a lot of money and she works harder than I do with the kids at home, but since I make the money she is awfully sweet and lets me buy things for... her. She is really the most exciting thing in my life, so naturally she would be expensive. But I need her! So this is one area in my life where I really need what I am excited about!

She does buy me things too.

Got the free throw cube on the way :bailando:saved a bunch of money too. I was mostly replacing gear that was due to retire like my steel core flip line.

Darn it Old Oak, I forgot to get a coat!:rayos:

I didn't know about the throw cube... but it's all good. Had one and gave it away. I like the plastic coffee cans better. They have that... umm... rustic look. Ok, hillbilly look. Now, excuse me while I go shovel some snow off the lawn and see how many rusty Fords I find under there. Might as well brush the snow off those appliances on the front porch, too.

Man, I still have not recived a shipment email from Treestuff last order. I called yesterday and spoke to Connie, and she said it will be here Thursday. I would like to know exactly when so I can be close to the house. I saw on the news that people are stealing packages off of the front door! What fuckin balls!I live in a average subdivision. There a few of these white kids who think there gangsters or something. I'm always yelling out the truck window " PULL UP YOUR PANTS" plus these kids(around me) would cry if they were in a real gangster moment! With me always yelling at the kids, I get nervous there going to get my stuff of the front door. I'm a little paronoid anyways.....so!

Some day they...the wives... Are going to figure this out.
Once upon a time I was into sport bikes, four wheeling, hunting, white water kayaking, rock and ice climbing, skiing and all the vacations around those activities ...none made me money. Until now. Owning a tree business is the best excuse to spend thousands on fun toys! Never any guilt, or any that lasts too ling, associated with them, as they will help me be safer, more efficient and look dam fly doing it! Thanks tree stuff!

I suspect that TreeStiffy got a little overwhelmed with orders. If, like me, you ordered an APTA there will be a 48 hour delay because I think they put those together as they get the orders.
Poor Nick was probably up all night putting cardboard boxes together and trying to figure out how to refill the packing tape dispenser.

I was bummed till I got an email saying one of my orders shipped last night. Woke up and checked the tracking and it'll be at my house when I get home.
If they said you should have it Thursday you probably will

Which jacket did you get?
The Ventura (x3) for me and crew and the arborist jacket, which has not shown up yet.

The Ventura jacket is amazing. Immediately felt uppity under the arms, tightish around chest, but wave the arms around and me likey. The pit zips are huge, open to the elements. It fits seemingly tight for a large, might seem like a medium...if it did not stretch like it does so amazingly. I can wear a long sleeve med weight base layer, light down vest, and soft shell (will be the arborist jacket) under this jacket and not feel too tight. That's what I plan on wearing when it is really cold or to start the day. I have not seen a hood so well designed. The zippers, Velcro tabs, and the extra fabric on the collar and wrist area are sweet. Very impressed.

I'm used to alpine storm shells that retail $400+, none have come close to this one for like what $250. I imagine this jacket will be a bit more durable then any alpine storm shell I own. The worst was a Victoria nox jacket that retailed for like $625... Tjmax deal for $200. Thing about ripped off me first tree I bumped into skiing in the woods POS!

Some day they...the wives... Are going to figure this out.
I have been blessed with a wife who earns a good salary. She pays the mortgage and her own car payment. I pay just about everything else PLUS healthcare and a chunk of change into the 401(k) and savings accounts. I end up paying more each month, but I'm not concerned because our arrangement keeps us from having arguments over money. She buys whatever she wants (she's a QVC junkie ... brown truck stops at our house 2 to 4 times a week), and I buy whatever I want. Does she roll her eyes sometimes upon seeing something I got? Oh, yeah ... but doesn't complain. Thank you, Lord!
