See if they give u some gear to test! Here two hours early and bored as hell
So, I'll write the first impression and a quick takeaway - a short disclaimer; I don't have any product development interests, had never experienced a problem with either company, and am just a small business owner interested in safe, quality gear:
1. I don't think there is a large conspiracy by either party to "screw" their clients through a merger. We all think we are self-important; but I truly believe the merger makes good business sense for all 3 stakeholders: customer's, TreeStuff, and Sherrill.
2. Both arms will now be able to streamline and leverage their human, vendor, and financial assets to improve product development, cost negotiation, and shipping. This is all with the customer's needs in mind.
3. Sherrill is working hard to overcome the negative experiences folks have had in the past and to change company culture - it takes time.
4. Both TS and Sherrill share a vision to be visible and engaged with their clientele and to meet their needs in the field. They have a plan and are putting it into practice.
5. There is no ivory tower - it's real people, working hard to make the best decisions, and all are passionate about safety, quality, and price point.
6. There are some interesting and exciting products coming down the pipeline that are designed for all levels of climbers and range of budgets.
7. A bit of inside baseball - but, there are a lot of tough decisions that need to be made, and when examined as an outsider, they seem counterintuitive. But, when facts are presented, they make sense for customers and the business.
8. Reach out to Tripp or Nick if you have any questions or concerns. They want to hear from you.
9. My only disappointment was that I didn't get to swim in the money pit, stay in the penthouse, or get a flight on the private jet - because they don't exist.

What's the deal with the tree stuff website now looking like its an Amazon page??
Amazon logo and colors....
Are we going to hear about another new business arraignment?
Well, Thats great! But TreeStuff has changed. I have order over 10K in gear this year. Sure not a major spender, but any of my customers who spend 10K are treated like gold in my company.
Everything is back ordered. I placed a 1500 dollar order, didn't receive chainsaw pants for one of my guys. Call tree stuff Twice, still no one know what the hell is going on. Kask helmet ordered is back ordered, no idea when that is going to get here.
I hired a new guy and promised him a pair of chainsaw pants and a new mask helmet. I am trying to be that owner that provides good gear to their employees. Sucks when your employees are pissed and feel like your giving them the run around when they ask about where their gear is and I have to keep saying back ordered, misplaced in shipping, etc.
Are we talking about Pfanner pants?

I don't know what "inside baseball" means but, i understand there is a lot that goes on behind the scene. The lack of supply is pervasive, and we are not talking about cars to look cool in to go to a cube job. We are talking about specialized products that people get brand specific about. Professional athletes are extremely neurotic about their equipment.
