Haix airpower,

Direct from haix: 362$ cad
From UFS: 576$ CAD +shipping.
Wtf?

Also.. the poster who mentioned UFS, joined yesterday, and has one post. Seems like a pitch to me.. I'll stick with Landry.[/QUOTE

Yep, what a joke! I took short drive over to Bartlett early this spring and loaded up on gear. When I got home I went on UFS website and put every thing I bought at Bartlett in the cart and with the piss poor exchange rate I still saved over $700CAD by buying from Bartlett!!!! Not even close....

Whoa....just catching up here....this event is just what it is..a change....happens a lot in life....it will not affect my life one bit..who I buy gear from is just a miniscule part of my existance and no biggie...definantly won't get worked up about it....enjoyed reading this though on a lazy sunday afternoon...keep going

I wonder if Sherrill will honer trade agreements already in place with TreeStuff?

I quit doing business with Sherrill as I don't like their business practices so I wonder if this will become the prevailing attitude at TreeStuff.

Hey, Paul. I was wondering if you could be more specific about what business practices it is that you do not care for on the part of Sherrill? I will understand if it is not something you'd like to discuss on the open forum. Thanks in advance for any answers you choose to give.

Business practices and branding differentiate the two entities. They'll appeal to different demographics and as they go forward how each brand performs will determine whether or not the parent company will maintain the two. Its been a successful strategy for many and for others its failed. For the Canadians a prime example is the Future Shop/Best Buy saga. The initial thought was maintaining the two brands and it worked but the market changed and they could no longer rationalize maintaining the Future Shop model.

The responses here demonstrate how a market responds and time will tell how this strategy plays out. Who knows, the only winners that come out of this may be Luke and Erin. That's business folks!

Apparently the Saka has also left, or at least the link is dead. Went to order one a few days ago and it seems to no longer be available. Just a glitch or a glimpse of the future?

We want no part of getting sued over either device. We've put a moratorium on selling the SAKA until Michael and Richard settle the issue between themselves.

Michael has successfully filed a patent which gives his device legal protection. Perhaps in a perfect world both devices could be sold and compete, but intellectual property carries serious legal weight.

How are you ordering direct from Haix? I was told we had to go through a vendor.
Landry still sells the haix at like 550$ or something.

I just wanted to clarify a few things, because so much has been said that is either inaccurate or at least misconstrued.

Michael has an issued patent. The patent does not give his device any protection, and it does not give him the rights to do anything. A patent only allows you to prevent someone else from doing what is claimed in your patent. So, in other words, the patent only allows him to prevent others from selling the device that is described in his patent. This is a difficult concept, I know; my lawyers have explained it to me several times.

Likewise, I have several patents in the works also, when any of them issue, they will only allow me to keep others from making and selling the device that I have described in each of them.

My attorneys have suggested that I not really comment about our specific situation, so I will leave it there for now. I look forward to having the issue resolved, so that we can all get back to doing what we do best.

Thanks,

Richard
