Treespotter on National television again...

This is an item about the new diseases that creep up into new areas of Europe due to the global warming. I'm explaining to Bas (the show host) the disease Massaria in Platanus. Hope you all don't mind the cutting in of the director, placing a broken Ash branch and pointing at it whilst I am 'over voicing' the Massaria in Plane.

Skip the first three quarters. My appearance starts when the weather goes bad.

Nice lambchops, Wolter!

That was really cool to watch! That guy you took up was hilarious, with the gripping of the ropes and asking you how high he was when he was only about 40 feet off the ground! That was a nice Plane tree you were in.....what's the disease you are talking about? It causes limb drop?

Yup, and in a speedy unforeseen way.

The fungus starts on the topside of the branches and eats it's way into the branch, making the tree very dangerous.

It's probably best to ask some of our German friends more about the disease. It is already a few years infesting the trees over there.
