Thats gotta be the cleanest looking fireplace in western Europe.....you sure that pic wasn't taken in a stove showroom? C'mon Treespotter...you could have at least scattered a few bits of bark around and had a some ash dirtying up the wall! sheesh!

ps whats the stove sitting on? is it slate?

Slate? c'mon Tock I am just a poor 'wood chopper' talking fancy.
It's a steel plate. BTW it took me the better part of the night to clean the place and now you are nagging me on how sterile it is?

I know the feeling......took me a good hour to clean up before I took this snap of my new fireplace.....was worth the hassle though...fireplaces can be so damn messy.
