Here is a monster. It is a Portland Heritage tree. Its the biggest one of these I've ever seen.

Not every year, conditions vary and climate dictates, but twice in over ten years the black cherry trees blossomed at once on the Edwards Plateau. It gave me an accurate estimate on hardwood populations which were 5 times the 'official's data on the local cherry.
Keep eyes and awareness open and many truths reveal themselves..often at odds with academic perspectives.
