Trees from a distance

It's not very cold hardy as far as I know, zones 9-11 I think. Native to India.

Very salt tolerant. Can grow almost in the ocean. Nice red leaf color when they change over.

Waldo, you're getting away from the first guesses... There were some hints in the early going, and a connection to the last Northern tree, in a way...

This tree can get over 100' tall, and is native to India, but naturalized in almost all of the tropics, probably since the rum/slave/sugar trade days.
