Celtis laevigata.

Not that I remember, I think it had multiple branches at one point on the central leader

I know.... i havent taken any tree pictures lately! Here is one from last summer.

Is it a Thujopsis?

yup. staghorn cedar Thujopsis dolobrata. That is one of my favorite ornamental evergreens.

They have a very distinctive look to them, large flat spays and rather thick looking branches.

Cool tree. Sort of western thuja meets a chamaecyparis.
