Nope, usually a multi stemmed shrub. Redbud finished here a week or so ago. These have a beige/white flower in bloom right now. This pic was before bloom, obviously.

Not tea olive... Correct family, though. These are relatively nondescript except in bloom... Very underused in the landscape IMO...

No, larger leaves, showier flowers... Never seen a privet with a single trunk, either, although I have seen some 6" sections. This tree grew this way on its own.

Definitely under-utilized in the landscape Tom. I've seen one or two around here and they're pretty spectacular when in bloom. I've never seen one with a trunk that big though.
