Trees from a distance

Sapium sebiferum or Triadica sebifera (Chinese Tallow)
AKA "Popcorn tree" around these parts

They are neat trees. That seems to be a common trait with some invasives.
 
Yeah, I just noticed the hole there today. Once my paw heals up so IU can climb again I need to investigate it a little closer. Not laurifolia but soooo close.
 
Not that either. I did see examples of them a few years ago when I was in California and visited Sequoia NP. They cover the foothills going into the park. This ones native range is SE USA.
