That's weird, I was going to guess that, but the bark looked too dark and smooth. Wow, I was closer than both of us thought. Let me see what I have.

Correct on the ducks… But no one is close with the trees. These trees have large and small cousins, all with very inconspicuous blooms, and some even weep.

BAM! These are a variegated variety of Grey Willow. What you are seeing is the white leaf margins, which are brilliant in the spring.
