Something about the sweep of the branches reminds me of Ulmus parvifolia, but I have never seen one that large/ancient...

We just did this genus at the top of the last page neat the way the small bracelets at the tips droop........even a few years after pollarding

The elm in my avatar is (from what i was told when i saw the picture) an elm just off the UMass Amherst campus, one of a handful left, that is called the Grayson Elm.
If anyone's familiar with the area its just off Sunset Ave. Cant miss it, its the huge Elm.
