Trees from a distance

I am feeling warm. If it were Fraxinus, I think the limbs would be straighter in such a young tree. That bark certainly looks like Ulmus parvifolia, but the leaves are too large. Zelkova would be more fastigiate. Just thinking out loud here...

I think it's Pistacia atlantica. That's all I got.

I've got tons of them all over campus. I think I could i.d those by smell at this point. Probably not fair.

I would but I cannot seem to get photos uploaded.

I have switched to Adobe Lightroom and will see if as I catalogue photos I can upload from the new format.

Did have a very good day in a forest/field of Chinquapin, Red, WHite and Burr Oak along with Sharbark Hickory. The variation in muehlenbergii leaf size and shape was incredible.
