If you've got keen eyes you might spot the 3 eagles in the tree

Looks a bit different from Populus around here but I can't think of a broadleaf other than Populus that would get that big in interior BC.
No idea what European White Poplar (P. alba) looks like but it's big and more than hardy enough so that's my next guess.

The silver poplar (P. Alba) out here are freaking huge. I should go take some pics of the 5 we pruned by the college in town. One has a DBH of 4' at least, and is close to 80' tall! Big, open grown spreading canopies, beautiful trees!

These (there are 2, the other is obscured by the one in the foreground) are 85+ years old...that's a hint, sort of...
