Trunk looks like acer saccharinum. But after seeing other pics of the tree in flicker I see that it's not.

You got it Dylan! Maybe you have even seen this exact tree. Not sure about 'Brandon' though. This American elm in The 'Hat, I believe is well over 100 years old.

If its in the Heritage Trees of Alberta book, then I've seen it...it looked familiar.

I'll have to defer this round, but I'll be out and about tommorrow so I'll get a dormant season picture for yall.

Anyone else have a pic to fill the void?

If its over 100, then it's probably not a 'Brandon,' because the research station in Lacombe devoloped the cultivar in the 60's, I believe.
