TreeBuzz slogan

Have your hosting provider add a DNS "CNAME" record for the.treebuzz.com pointing to treebuzz.com like they do for www.treebuzz.com:

<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>; &lt;&lt;&gt;&gt; DiG 9.2.1 &lt;&lt;&gt;&gt; www.treebuzz.com
;; global options: printcmd
;; Got answer:
;; -&gt;&gt;HEADER&lt;&lt;- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 28847
;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 2, AUTHORITY: 3, ADDITIONAL: 2

;; QUESTION SECTION:
;www.treebuzz.com. IN A

;; ANSWER SECTION:
www.treebuzz.com. 17754 IN CNAME treebuzz.com.
treebuzz.com. 17693 IN A 216.235.79.190</pre><hr />
Then you can put <font color="blue">http://the.treebuzz.com/</font> (which pretty much sums it up in my mind) on the shirts, and the URL will work.

Treebuzz.com: Be the buzz

Treebuzz.com: For The Vertically Unchallenged

Old arborists never die... they just get recrotched @ Treebuzz.com

Treebuzz.com: Bark up the right tree

Be a buzzard

Got wood?

See the forest for the trees @ Treebuzz.com

I'll extend ChuckR's last one a bit:
We see the forest AND the trees @ Treebuzz.com

A nod to that Texas Trio, bu-ZZ Top:
I heard it,
I Heard it,
Heard it on The Buzz
(But would the artwork include three bearded, dark sunglass wearing guys toting fuzzy chainsaws?)

Your BUZZness will make it when you make it your BUZZness.

Four climbers, in gear holding handsaws spelling B-U-Z-Z in semaphore
Eight climbers, in gear holding implements of the trade, spelling T-R-E-E-B-U-Z-Z in semaphore.
A group of twelve, including climbers, groundies, supervisor, etc, spelling T-R-E-E-B-U-Z-Z-dot-C-O-M in semaphore.
A group of thirty-four, including climbers, groundies, supervisor, owner, OSHA inspector, chainsaw mechanic, plant pathologist, storm jumper, someone playing a lute, fife, and drum....

These things take some time to gestate in my brain and I am not completely satisfied with it, but here is what I have so far.

Find the arborist buzz at
treebuzz.com

To me a slogan should be short, but yet still be specific about what it is you are promoting. I also thing the ones with sexual innuendo are probably a bit too low brow for this site. Fun to read yes, but not something I would want to wear on a shirt or hat.

Glen,

Any idea why the ttl values are different?

Probably because I've been using tor, so my caching nameserver wasn't primed for the domain. I first digged treebuzz.com, then evidently about a minute later did the same for www there. I just made the mistake of checking www first, so they match at the moment. I'll have to wait about 4.8 hours to try the original order again to see if that will duplicate the result.

Impatient... found the same type of TTL value difference by digging arboristsite.com first, then the www CNAME.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Cary,

I'd forgotten to address those thoughts.

I concur 100% with both of them.

To the first: that's why I suggested merely the URL. Obviously, someone who doesn't "compute" wouldn't know (quite) what it means, but then they wouldn't need to. Those who do would have all they need to know.

I chose "the" to connote that this is the place to come for the best-quality "buzz".

Thinking a bit further on the matter, however, I feel it wouldn't hurt to also have a small emblem depicting a climber in a saddle in a tree. A simple one-color outline drawing would suffice.

"Trees get all the love over here at TREEBUZZ!

And thar ya go! &lt;img src="/forum/images/graemlins/elefant.gif" alt="" /&gt;

Going with the ideas from Cary and Glens, I came up with a simple graphic (see attachment).

Please note that I am not a graphic artist so this is very rough, but might be a starting point for someone with artistic ability.

Hmmm, you might want to get your clairvoyance checked out! I don't normally envision a climbers arms being the same size as their climbing rope. Plus I think I would pass on the periwinkle blue mask /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Uh, OK. I've got a doctor's visit coming up soon anyway. /forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Hey Joe, I know it was only a start, but what do ya'll think about having more of a superhero type bee maybe with some muscles etc.-- Continuing on from what Glen said.
