tree stuff, its been real....

It's TreeStuff praise day here at Rico Enteprises, so I'm gonna roll with it. I just got done setting a line for a good sized Redwood removal I'm doing of Friday. 3rd shot and a line is set around 180-200ft! My sincere thanks to Nick and Treestuff for developing the APTA. Without a doubt the most game changing tool I have ever purchased. Well done gentlemen.

I'm surprised you can hit targets that high? Do you mind telling me your setup for that?

I use a beach casting setup with 20 pound test. I run a 14 oz throw ball because they seem to fly much higher for me, and the weight is needed to get the throw ball to come back down at those heights. As far as psi, let's just say that I exceed the 200 psi recommended on the warning sticker. I have spent quite a bit of time dialing things in, but in the end I couldn't be happier. I used cross bows and the big launch in the past, but this is by far my favorite.

Hey Mark. the tree is on the parcel next to mine so I went over this afternoon to set up some ground rigging and decided to set up my false crotch and climbing line. I'm just a dumb old knuckle dragging double roper so I run a 400ft climbing line for taller stuff. I measured the left over rope and the crotch was set at 185 ft on the button. Easy parcheesy

Rico , you want to demo a Wraptor HD and give it a review?
Wow thanks for the offer but it's not really necessary. I have use a wraptor probably a dozen times. My review is in. I loved it and I felt like I was cheating. It was that good. Any of you production climbers working with big wood should buy one now! If I was younger and still wreaking multiple large trees in a day I would have owned one a long time ago . I'm at a stage in my life where I can still spur up a tree pretty quick and I still really enjoy it. I always planned to purchase a wraptor when the day came that I wasn't really physically up to spurring up trees. It just a matter of time before I will be giving you a call to buy one. I assume you are the man behind both the wraptor and the hitch hiker? If so you are a true innovator brother. Both amazing tools!

I am no sales man by a long shot but this may come off sounding like a pitch. IMO you need to get one before you"need" it. You appear to be in great physical shape but tree work causes repetitive motion injuries. By the time you need it your body is fooked....

Just trying to look out for a hard working man, I cannot keep up with Wraptor orders as is ,so carry on

You are putting yourself at serious risk.
APTA like launchers have killed and seriously maimed people.
One case with military engineered device.
I don't see APTA claims any standards are being met. Stay well below there max.
You know what happens to Guinea pigs
Take care Bro

The only times APTAs have caused bodily harm is when people have launched a RopeKnight from them.

I have thought about treating myself to a wraptor for my 60th B-Day. That gives me about 5 more years of doing it the hard way and I think I'm up for it. Hell, I worked with a legendary old-timer out here who was kicking butt well into his 70's. I hear ya on the APTA!
Thanks again for the amazing demo offer and I will be hitting you up in the future !

Guys in the fire dept had made a pvc flower cannon to blast the rookies. On day it exploded and a guy lost teeth and broke his jaw. Huge investigation. Come to find out the guys who built it were working for the fire chief when he was a captain. He knew it exsisted. It all just went away. Nobody got in trouble. Imagine that. No plausible deniability there.

Hey Mark, let me say happy birthday first, and you don't look a day over? I posted a few pics and vids of the tree in question over at the Climbers Talk section .
