Timberline Tree Service is looking for a full time tree service foreman, climber, & groundsman.
Timberline Tree Service offers a wide range of tree services with one goal in mind - making our customers happy. We are here to provide quality residential and commercial tree services to the Twin Cities and the surrounding communities, and have been proudly doing so since 1976. We have great accreditation's from Angie's List, Consumers Checkbook and The Better Business Bureau with over 50% of our business residing in repeat customers and referrals. We use sophisticated climbing and rigging techniques, cut away dead or excess branches from trees or shrubs to maintain right-of-way for roads, sidewalks, or utilities, or to improve appearance, health, and value of tree. Prune or treat trees or shrubs using handsaws, hand pruners, clippers, and power pruners. We work off the ground in the tree canopy and also use truck-mounted lifts.
We are looking for energetic people that are willing to put in a full days work. This is full time seasonal position, M-F with hours that will vary due to the job and also the weather. You must have a minimum 3 years in the field for the foreman & climber positions, or education equality in the field. If you are bi-lingual (English/Spanish) this is a plus.
Your job duties include but are not limited to:
*Clean, sharpen, and lubricate tools and equipment.
*Operate shredding and chipping equipment, and feed limbs and brush into the machines.
*Operate boom trucks, loaders, stump chippers, brush chippers, tractors, power saws, trucks, sprayers, and other equipment and tools.
*Cut away dead and excess branches from trees, or clear branches around power lines, using climbing equipment or buckets of extended truck booms, or chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, and clippers.
*Hoist tools and equipment to tree trimmers, and lower branches with ropes or block and tackle.
*Load debris and refuse onto trucks and haul it away for disposal.
*Collect debris and refuse from tree trimming and removal operations into piles, using shovels, rakes or other tools.
*Clear sites, streets, and grounds of woody and herbaceous materials, such as tree stumps and fallen trees and limbs.
*Trim, top, and reshape trees to achieve attractive shapes or to remove low-hanging branches.
*Supervise others engaged in tree trimming work and train lower-level employees.
*Inspect trees to determine if they have diseases or pest problems.
*Trim jagged stumps, using saws or pruning shears.
*Climb trees, using climbing hooks and belts, or climb ladders to gain access to work areas.
*Provide information to the public regarding trees, such as advice on tree care.
*Apply protective substances to cut surfaces to seal surfaces, and to protect them from fungi and insects.
