Does anyone here have or know what the recommeded percentages are for large municipal planting of trees? I remember hearing it, something to the affect of no more than 10% of one family, no more than 10% of that families genus, and no more than 5% of that genus' species? Hope this makes sense! Thanks

The Wisconsin DNR is reccomending no more then 20% of one family, 10% of one genus, and 5% of one species.

You can find it in the WI DNR Urban Forestry BMP. PG 32

UF BMP

ISA Municiple Specialist Cert. study guide reads "limiting the use of any one species or cultivar to 10 percent of the population, any one genus to 20 percent, and any one family to 30 percent".
