Tree Motion Bridge

Tried to search but couldn't make the search work right, I think it hates me.

Anywho, How long on the Tree Motion bridge? Mine has a flat spot on the inside that has a layer of aluminum coloring it grayish silver. No nicks or frays. I've been using the saddle for about a year now and I climb at least 3 or 4 days a week, the bridge is original.

Also what to replace it with, are there better options than the green stuff?

I replace my treeMOTION bridge pretty much every 6 months. If it is particularly beat up, I'll replace it prior to that. If I haven't climbed that much, I may leave it for a bit longer. Generally, at 6 months it's worn enough to need replacing. I have never gone longer than 12 months without replacing the bridge.

I wonder if one could get 11mm samson velocity to fit through holes, looks like a tight fit, anyone try this?

Treestuff.com used to sell it by the foot, I think they stopped though. I think I got enough for 3 bridges for 10 bucks? I think I needed 36-40" total after knots and tails? My bridge is about 22" I believe?

Velocity makes a great bridge for the TM. As I see it, The Globe 3000's (the OEM green rope)only advantage is its triple braid construction and Dyneema SK 75 core. I like Velocity Hot because of it's high visibility, but it does fit.

Thanks tree bro, thats what I wanted to know.

It would be nice to buy bulk rope for bridge, so much cheaper

i use that sterling tri tech stuff for my ergo bridge. i bought a length for my landyard and i got like 4 feet too much. happened to get a pick on my bridge so it was nice to find a use for the extra cordage, and the stuff is pretty tough

The Aramid cover of the Tritech will be much harder on Aluminium then a Polyester or Polyamid one, keep that in mind.
I recommend using a ring on a Tritech bridge, so the abrasion is spread around the inside of it. In a carabiner f.e. you see a groove in it quite soon.
