Tree climbing rendezvous in Colorado

AWESOME! If you connected the top part of the clothesline to the bottom with prusiks, it would not try to roll you back to the lowest point of the span!

Hmmmmmm

Cool, What are the apps. for that in a work environment? Are we allowed to use a traverse line as a floating TIP? I could have used that set-up, but was always a little leery!

I've done exactly that for a floating TIP.

Many years ago I setup something like that for a removal. The upper line with the floating FC crossed over the leaning tree on a diagonal so I could position my rigging FFC in both x and y axis for perfect lifts. I wish that I would have taken pictures :(

I've done it but not in a "floating" situation. I climbed the first tree, tied the rope to it, then descended, walked to the next tree, climbed it, hauled up the high-line, anchored that as well, then clipped a pulley on the line and rolled out to where I wanted to be, dragging a loose prusik behind me. When I got to where I wanted my TIP, I hooked on another prusik, hooked my climbing line there, and descended down and started working.

It works.

Re: Rendezvous in CO-lunar eclipse

I'm half way through my two hour layover in Atlanta on my way back to New Orleans from the Rendezvous. This is the worst part of a super great weekend in Colorado!

When I have a chance to edit my pics I'll pop a few up of some of the TB regulars.

Thanks to Harv Teitelbaum for putting in a lot of work making the gathering so much fun!
