Tree beer tonight

Well tonight is like my Friday night as I don't have to work tomorrow so I hit the liquor store looking for something new to try and came away with crooked tree IPA out of Michigan and a Maple ale. Pretty excited. I mean what a tree hugging hippie has got to lean towards the finer things in life. Plus with names like that how can you go wrong.

The Maple ale sounds interesting. I'd stay away from the Willow or Camphor though. I was on a Ginger beer spree for a while. Supposed to be good for your tummy. Definitely a unique flavor.

"Ya gotta get on to spend it. I've never met a dead man bought me a drink."

"I've never met a live on you've bought one for, either."

The TreeHouse Brew is a buddy of mine; just finished up all their licensing, so production will be in full swing soon. GOOD stuff. 'Course, I get a discount.

Austin has a local brewer, Live Oak, that puts out a brew similar to the old Shiner Bock (which ain't what it used to be, sadly), called Big Bark. good stuff!

Double Crooked Tree is a force to be reckoned with! 13.8% but really smooth. Try it if you can get it... especially on tap.

Dang that is some strong stuff! I will look for it Taylor. I have been into Central Waters Mud Puppy lately. Really good on tap as well

There is a really cool brewery on Nantucket Island, Cisco Brewery. They make a brew called "Whaletale" that is outstanding. Not a tree brew I know, but if you have a chance, try a pint......or gallon. With game 7 of the Bruins and Caps tonight and Wednesday being date night, Whaletale is on the menu.
