Training non arborists

tree top challenge
Two guys from this business are keen to climb. They will need to get above their platfoms and into the Euc canopies.
Given a line is set, 50% of the time they will be climbing from the platform up (not required to go all the way from ground level).
Would you teach them DdRT or SRT and why?

SRT

Most efficient use of energy. Easiest to setup and retrieve.

I could go on and on...but this debate has been run before

give them a haas SRT , its almost idiot proof and super efficient. but I'm bias.
I have had some pretty out of shape people in trees with this system,

Some more detail- they will be repairing, adjusting and replacing platforms as required. Some are starting to ringbark the trees. Don't think they will need to right into the canopy a lot. Maybe to redirect lines to hang outside the platform or to set a pulley for hauling/lowering timer.

I think they need SRT and DRT. It's not that hard to learn both and safe if you have redundancy and buddies checking on each other.

They need to know both, srt for access, drt for work.

They will also need to learn work positioning techniques.
