training 4 new working climbers

My company has put me in charge of finding contact info and dates for climbing schools in my area. The internet so far has led me to a lot of recreational climbing schools but none for tree work. I have been climbing full time for a year but have had the minimum training. An experienced climber taught me the basic knots and how to safely tie in but the work schedule has prevented him from really getting in depth about rigging and some of the more advanced techniques

As of right now i am stuck doing only the simplest takedowns and light pruning. I need training before they let me try anything big or hard.

I live in southern Delaware but traveling in MD,VA,PA or any other close state is ok.

I thirst 4 knowledge and hunger to advance

class should be as soon as possible

thanx 4 your help

Hey
Happy to hear you are looking to advance your climbing skills
Not being from your area I do not know which are the good training courses or schools in your area but here are some things to be wary of
You want a school that is run and taught by arborist's who either still climb or work in the area you are seeking training in
Find out who the major sponsors and backers of the school are as sometimes there will be hidden agendas
This will in turn determine what type of training they offer and how the curriculum is controlled
Be wary of statements such as "We will teach you to take down any tree with a basic set of skills"
This would be great but it is impossible and unrealistic as some trees can not be removed with basic skills
Not only is it unrealistic but dangerous and is looking at aboriculture work through rose colored glasses
You also want to see and ask for the curriculum up front to find out if the training you are looking for is actually in the curriculum
A reputable school will have no problem answering these questions or concerns
Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for
Be safe my friend
