Hey Buzzers,
I thought I would let you know that we are rolling and off to a good start. Rode 98+ miles (more for a few wrong turners) from Sacramento up the Cache Creek valley and up some heavy duty hills in very hot conditions. One bike computer reported 104 in the raidaint heat off the road. Highway 20 was also a high traffic small shoulder road and scary. Headwind up hill made it a real challenge.
At any rate all made it to Clear Lake and a fine feed on the lake hosted by Karl Parker former tour organizer.
This morning we are off over Mt St Helena and then a long roll into Santa Rosa. I will keep you all posted.
You can still donate to a rider or team via www.tourdestrees.org.
If you have ever thought this ride might be fun...you are correct...don't be shy...give it a try. Over twenty five new riders thia year!
Later...gotta roll, Scott
