Tough Mudder

I ran the first one last May in Pennsylvania. A good time. I'll be running the one in Virginia. in November 2011. If your going let me know.

I would like to say that I'll do the PA one or Virginia one with team treebuzz. Every time I schedule something, I tend to regret it because things are too busy with work usually. But I think I may be up for it.

If someone on your team sucks, does it bring down the whole team?

If that heavy girl made it, it must not be too rough, that kinda let me down when she said on the video she finished it.

The race was fun, but it is not near as tough as the video would have you believe. It's not really about winning. In May there were over 3000 people. There was no "official" time, save the first hundred to cross the line and even that was strange. I never did figure out how you get into the first group save blind luck.

If you are looking to challenge yourself and prove something, you will most likely be disappointed. If you enjoy something different, like to support a worthy cause and don't mind the crowds you'll have fun. The people watching is great. For many it is the most challenging thing they have ever done. For me it ranked a low 2 on a scale of one to ten.

I look forward to the November event.

Hey Tony, I wouldn't be so quick. I know some people thought the first event (may 2010) wasn't as hard as it could be, but from my experience with the NJ event and what I heard about the NorCal event, they've seriously stepped their game up. I read the site Travlete a lot, and they gave the NJ event (most recent one) an A+, and they also rated Tough Mudder as teh best event of 2010. I think they've shown they learned from the places they could improve and they've settled in as a pretty sick event. Here is that review btw: http://travlete.com/2010/12/28/year-in-review/

Without a doubt my friend!!! After those experiences it will probably rate a low two for you as well. That does not mean it will not be fun.

If your going to the November event in Virginia let me know I'll buy you a cold one after we drink our free one.
