Toledo climb on Jan 10

Im planning on climbing on Thursday the 10th, weather permitting, also location to be announced. Most likely Woodland Park in Perysburg, but I have another park I wanna scout out before.

Anyone in the area is welcome, call email or PM for info. Probably around noon or 1pm, but will be updated before then. Hope to see ya there.

Ok, going to be at Woodland Park in Perrysburg. Im going to say arounf 1230 or 1, but cant nail down a time for sure, as my fiancee and I have an OBGYN to see that morning. In going for sure though, just as soon as we are done. Anyone interested is welcome to come.

Good climb today. Had a good time, nice weather actually. A bit breezy, but dry and not too chilly. Big thanks to John for helpin me get my fouled throwline down and helpin me set my line. Awesome tree, great canopy, you could walk around that tree all day and not hit the same branch twice. Thanks again John for climbin today.

Hey, do we have good timing or what? By the time we were done and headed back to the shop, it started raining.

Finally got my throwline sorted out tonight. Thanks to Matt for cleaning out the tree, that sucker is lookin great and I can tell it is going to continue be one of the areas favorite climbing spots.

Are you going to make the Toledo Rec Climb a periodic event ?
I hope so !

I've been unable to climb for a couple months; but I'm ready to elevate now !

I'll try my best to make the next Toledo event.

Let me know if you-all want to make a road trip to Chardon, OH.

While here this summer, Matt, Rich H., Dave ?, & I made a nice double crotch transfer from a beech into a red oak. Very cool !

Tell Matt C. that I said "Hello" !

Ciao !

I would love to make it a scheduled thing, like every week, two weeks, month, something like that. Im definitely up for any suggestions or ideas. i actually didnt make it out yesterday, got tied up in some other stuff. But John and I went out last week and I had a blast. So Im definitely up for a scheduled event. Traveling is definitely an option, for me anyways, I cant speak for John or Matt. i think Johns out of town for the week, but Ill see what he thinks of it when he gets back. With my new job, I have Sundays off, so Im up for anything.

Sounds good Greg. I know Im going to try to climb this tuesday, the 22nd, will be a bit cold, but Im gonna try. After that, you can almost guarantee Im gonna start climbing every Sunday, weather permitting. Maybe we can try to find something half way between us, a nice park or something. Just a thought.

To the brave of heart...

Climb is on for Tuesday Jan 22. Woodland park in Perrysburg, just South of Toledo(10 minutes).VERY nice big Oak, awesome canopy, really able to limbwalk alot. 1pm as of now, but Im gonna get there as soon as my morning errands are done. Gonna be a chilly one, but Im dyin to climb. Nice shelter to warm up in next to the tree, and as long as John's back in town, maybe he will let us warm up at his shop? Gonna have a big jug of Gatorade, plus some chips, just to snack on. If anyone comes with, maybe grab food after at IHOP or something.

Any takers? Hit me up. 419-699-4313, or ohiomp84@yahoo.com phone is best. Hope to see ya there.

Re: To the brave of heart...

Shawn,
I'm going to pass on this one. It's still a little cool for my old bones.
Keep me in the "Toledo Loop" ....... I'll be there soon.
After all .......... I'm just in a suburb of Toledo. :-)

Tell Matt C. that I said Hello.

Ciao !
