Pruned these Oaks today check the yard.

Made for almost no landing zone

Every cut had to be tossed or lowered. Took all day with 5 men 3 climbers and a lift.

This tree I pruned leaned over the home, in front of the house (the closed toss had all of that stuff so here is my landing zone for EVEY piece in the back yard. These trees have not been pruned for many years. I'm tired and going home.

Did you move what you could out of the drop zone?
The oak in back looked fun. Were there any primaries, skylights, etc. to add to the challenge?

Norm, we moved a few things but must of the stuff was frozen to the ground. There were two sky lights ( plastic) and of course a primary. In the pic you can see the transformer.

He had to prune this Willow too that was completely over the water. Good idea to use the Gum for leverage (and safety).

The back of the property bordered this golf course.

I had to remove three trees in the front and prune about 15 others. This was one of the removals.

Here's the crazy part- after a quick inspection of the tree I saw this!

Seems a land-clearing co. was called in first to remove the trees. They started slicing trees and were shut down by DEP and other groups. They didn't have permits, were cutting lots of mature trees down and the property was protected due to wetlands. Guess they stopped during this removal?

This was a crazy job we did last week. Dead wooding a big beech tree that was completly build in by buildings and sheds.

Had to enter the tree via the garage roof...

Some of the bigger branches we had to lower, the small ones i managed to throw through the crown out to the niegbours gardens....

plenty of practice for the next TCC...

We also placed a storm anker in this tree. There was one leader with a bad joined forlk. The rope we used for this has a safe working load of 70kn.
