Beech tends to have a nice clear wood as well, canopy looks like hackberry too

Thanks oakman. Recovery is going well and the hard work and patience is paying off. I still have a long way to go, but I'm starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel...
To me, it looks like you have a peg leg, except it's not a peg leg, it's a chainsaw leg.
Now I'm picturing you doing wild rotations going inverted and sending tops and limbs flying with the chainsaw leg. An arborist/X-Men sort of thing.

It's pretty different from the milling @rico does, but my buddy recently got his Mobile Dimension Mill up and running (a work in progress) so I went and checked that out tonight. Old-timey custom-built 4x4 self-loader to feed it logs as well. Making 18' 2x12's in a single pass here, and yes that is an air-cooled VW engine that powers it.
