I think I saw a news piece going by, maybe "60 Minutes", about some young folks who are becoming very wealthy very quickly because of the fact that they are able to produce videos for the internet that a lot of people like to watch. Sets of eyes watching anything translates almost directly into advertising revenue. It is the reason that ad spots during the superbowl cost so much; the NFL can practically guarantee advertisers the single largest exposure they will get all year. So any person who can reliably deliver a large audience is a very valuable asset.

All the company buying the rights to the video has to do is line up advertisers that are willing to pay for product ads that appear in conjunction with the video, and that is how the revenue gets generated.

The big trick is to figure out how to produce videos that millions of people want to watch.

I think the only reason this video has so many views is because Jeff has a ton of facebook friends. If I had posted it, the video would have only gotten a handful of views.

I have learned a lot from your videos Richard, please keep sharing.
