Time Spent Amongst Trees Is Never Time Wasted!

Oh yes! I always feel about twenty years younger on a climb and come down completely rejuvenated. Trees are living entities, often much older than us, and there is just something so incredible about being up enbraced in the limbs of one, sort of bonding with it for a while. And sharing the space with birds and other wildlife. I was up about 60 feet in one of my own big cedars and a chipmunk ran past me! I had no idea the little buggers climbed. I thought they were basically ground dwellers.

My wife thinks it's very risky when I climb trees. I usually tell her it's very risky for my soul if I don't. She also sometimes feels trees are "the other woman" in my life. Who told her?

They are usually that way about boats and other things we do as well. I was lucky with my late wife; she loved any new adventure. She would have been right up the tree with me.
