We rigged the rest of the tree live. We had plenty of room now. We were able to fell a large spar. The tree had a bit of side and back lean. We used 3 ropes to pull it over one on a GRCS and 2 on the kubota. The tires were spinning on the plywood with those ag. tires.
Thursday we rigged out this tree. Myself and crew showed up last week to wreck it. We came up with a plan got all ready as I spiked up around 8'9' it sounded funny. So I sounded it and it sounded bad.
The graphs said 1 1/2" to 2 1/2" of wood. I decided not to climb it. the tree needed to be a full rig. We decided to rent this 35 ton and tie into it and still rig the tree manually. The crane is only good for 1000# minus the ball. We had to lift the dumpster out of the way also PITA.
On this cut the men were worried the load would hit the fence. I showed them how to pretension the load with the winch and then suck the slack out as it goes over heres were it landed.
